Hyderabad, Nov. 9 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy tonight announced that the "Koti Deepotsavam" programme organized during the auspicious 'Karthika Masam' will be celebrated as the state festival from next year.

The Chief Minister also said that the state government will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to announce the Koti Deepotsavam as a national festival and accord a national recognition to the big spiritual event.
