Hyderabad, Aug. 18 -- Telangana is targeting a major expansion of renewable energy capacity as part of its long-term plan to build a clean-energy ecosystem and achieve a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said on Tuesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the two-day India Energy Summit & Expo 2026 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Bhatti said the State aims to increase renewable energy capacity to nearly 20,000 MW by 2030 and over 26,000 MW by 2035. Energy storage capacity is also targeted at around 3,000 MW by 2030 and nearly 8,000 MW by 2035, including battery and pumped-storage systems.
