Hyderabad, Feb. 11 -- In a major administrative reform aimed at strengthening decentralised urban governance, the Telangana government has reorganised the civic administration of the Hyderabad region under the Core Urban Region (CURE) framework.

The restructuring was formalised through G.O.Ms. No. 55, issued by the Metropolitan Area and Urban Development (GHMC-1) Department on February 11, 2026.

As part of the move, three municipal corporations have been constituted: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.
