Hyderabad, July 7 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday announced the release of Rs 259.73 crore under the seventh phase of the Rythu Bharosa scheme to 58,831 farmers cultivating between 7 and 8 acres of land.

The Minister said the assistance, covering 4.32 lakh acres, was directly credited to the beneficiaries' bank accounts as part of the State government's phased implementation of the scheme.

He said that with the latest release, the government has disbursed a total of Rs 7,750.45 crore under Rythu Bharosa in just seven days, benefiting 68.96 lakh farmers and covering 129.17 lakh acres of cultivated land.
