Hyderabad, April 29 -- In a major relief to state government employees, the Telangana government has released Rs 1,000 crore towards pending dues, following directions from Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.

The funds were released on Wednesday, with Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania issuing the necessary orders. The move fulfils the assurance given by the Deputy CM in the Assembly.

The government had earlier committed to releasing Rs 700 crore per month after discussions with employee unions and continued payments up to March 2026.
