Hyderabad, June 29 -- The Telangana government on Monday released another Rs 2,000 crore towards clearing pending dues of employees and pensioners, fulfilling its commitment to settle Rs 6,000 crore in arrears within 100 days.

The funds were released by Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania following the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. This is the second instalment after the government released Rs 2,000 crore on May 29.
