Hyderabad, June 15 -- Marking the reopening of schools after the summer vacation, Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday inaugurated the Telangana government's flagship Breakfast and Milk Scheme at Raj Bhavan Government High School and distributed textbooks and notebooks to students.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the scheme would benefit 29 lakh students studying from pre-primary to Class XII in government schools across the state. Along with the state-wide 'Badi Bata' enrolment drive, the initiative aims to improve nutrition, increase attendance, reduce dropout rates and encourage more parents to opt for government schools.
