Hyderabad, May 26 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday said the government is placing special focus on preventing stubble burning in view of its harmful impact on soil fertility, the environment, and public health.
Addressing the "Rythu Nestam" programme, the Minister directed Agriculture Department officials to conduct extensive awareness campaigns among farmers to completely discourage the practice of burning crop residue.
