Hyderabad, Oct. 23 -- Telangana Government is preparing an action plan to successfully host the Khelo India Games from December 11 to 22, Minister for Youth Services and Sports Vakiti Srihari said on Friday.
During a review meeting at the Secretariat, the Minister directed officials to coordinate across departments and complete all arrangements well in advance, including athlete selection, stadium readiness, training facilities and accommodation.
Srihari stressed the need to identify and nurture sporting talent from rural areas across 27 disciplines.
He called for a transparent, merit-based selection process and emphasised the long-term goal of preparing Telangana athletes to win medals at national-level competitions.
