Hyderabad, July 15 -- Telangana Forest, Environment and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha on Wednesday said the state government has made elaborate arrangements to celebrate the Ashada Bonalu festival with grandeur across more than 3,000 temples in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.
Extending Bonalu greetings to the people of the state, the Minister described the festival as a unique tradition of Shakti worship that reflects the soul, culture and heritage of Telangana.
She said Bonalu is not merely a religious festival but a grand cultural celebration symbolising the state's social harmony and composite "Ganga-Jamuna" culture.
