Hyderabad, July 30 -- The Telangana government on Thursday announced that it has fulfilled its commitment to clear Rs 6,000 crore in pending arrears of employees and pensioners within 100 days, releasing the final instalment of Rs 2,000 crore.

Acting on the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania released the third instalment, completing the payment of the promised amount.

The arrears were released in three phases-Rs 2,000 crore on May 29, Rs 2,000 crore on June 30, and the final Rs 2,000 crore on Thursday.
