Hyderabad/New Delhi, March 5 -- Telengana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday evening discussed Maoist surrenders and rehabilitation during a meeting in New Delhi.
During his meeting with Amit Shah, the Chief Minister said significant improvements in policing have taken place over the past two years, during which 591 Maoists laid down their arms and joined the mainstream.
He noted that several senior Maoist leaders have recently returned to normal life and that the state government is providing compensation and rehabilitation assistance in accordance with established rules.
