Hyderabad, July 11 -- As part of the ongoing Ashada Bonalu festivities, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and his wife offered special prayers at the historic Sri Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad on Friday.
The Governor presented 'bonam' and silk clothes to the presiding deity, seeking blessings for the prosperity and well-being of the people of the state.
The couple was accorded a grand welcome by Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Greater Hyderabad deputy mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, and Medchal district collector Dasari Harichandana. Endowments Department officials and senior GHMC and police personnel were also present on the occasion.
