Hyderabad, May 12 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the Telangana Prisons Museum and the unique "Feel the Jail Experience / Jail Anubhavam" initiative at Chanchalguda here on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor described the establishment of the museum as a historic milestone in the evolution of correctional administration in Telangana.
He noted that prisons, which once functioned primarily as centres of punishment, have gradually transformed into institutions focused on correction, rehabilitation and human dignity.
