Hyderabad, Aug. 29 -- Telangana is looking to make space technology the fourth major pillar of its economic growth, alongside information technology, life sciences and aerospace and defence, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu said on Saturday.
Addressing an interaction with representatives of 14 leading space-tech companies in Hyderabad, Mr Sridhar Babu said the State aimed to position Hyderabad among the world's top five space-tech hubs.
The participating companies recommended the development of a Space City to bring together the sector's ecosystem and provide specialised infrastructure required to accelerate the growth of space-tech, a release said here.
