Hyderabad, April 12 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Sunday called for a comprehensive caste census across the country, stating that true social justice can be achieved only through accurate and inclusive data.

Speaking at Praja Bhavan after unveiling the book "Caste Census: Deepening of Social Justice," he stressed the need to collect detailed information on the social, educational and economic conditions of all communities as part of the national census.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the caste survey conducted by the Telangana government has set an example for the country and can serve as a model for implementing a nationwide caste census.
