Hyderabad, Oct. 8 -- Telangana DGP C V Anand on Thursday directed senior police officers to strengthen implementation of the new criminal laws, improve the quality of investigation and enhance crime-control measures across the State.

At a review meeting with Commissioners of Police, Superintendents of Police and other senior officers at the CID office, Anand stressed the need to improve the disposal of cases under investigation, conviction rates and overall investigation standards. He said better performance by individual units was essential for improving Telangana's national ranking.
