New Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept. 29 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil to facilitate the necessary approvals for construction of the Tummidihetti barrage in coordination with the Maharashtra government.
At a meeting with Patil in Delhi on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy said Telangana had already submitted the information sought by Maharashtra and requested the Centre to help reach an early agreement on constructing the barrage at an FRL of 152 metres.
He said this would enable gravity-based transfer of water to Yellampalli and reduce power consumption and costs.
