Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will launch the distribution of smart ration cards for 3.43 crore beneficiaries in the state from Sangareddy on August 15.

Distribution programmes will be held simultaneously at district headquarters across all 33 districts.

In a statement on Tuesday, Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the State currently has 1,06,28,092 food security cards, covering 3.43 crore beneficiaries, with each eligible person receiving six kg of fine-quality rice free every month.
