Hyderabad, Aug. 12 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed officials to maximise the utilisation of Godavari waters by carrying out water lifting operations to the fullest extent from the Yellampalli, Devadula and Sitarama projects.
Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, reviewed the functioning of the Irrigation Department at MCRHRD here.
He directed officials to strictly follow the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) guidelines, noting that water was not being stored in the Sundilla, Annaram and Medigadda barrages as per the recommendations, an official statement said.
