Hyderabad, May 14 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday congratulated V. D. Satheesan after the Congress named him the next Chief Minister of Kerala, following 10 days of deliberations and choosing the popular six-time MLA over K. C. Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala.

In a message, Reddy described Satheesan's elevation as a well-deserved recognition of decades of public service, principled politics and commitment to the welfare of the people of Kerala.

The Telangana Chief Minister said the people of Kerala had reaffirmed their faith in democracy, social justice and inclusive development by giving a mandate to the Congress-led United Democratic Front in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
