Hyderabad, July 2 -- The Telangana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, on Thursday approved a series of welfare, infrastructure and healthcare initiatives, including the creation of 6,278 posts in the Health Department, extension of free meals to students and school staff, and the Rs 7,345-crore first phase of the Musi Riverfront Development Project.

Briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat, Revenue, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the Cabinet also deliberated extensively on the Centre's changes to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
