Telangana 's Singareni sets daily coal production, transportation target at 1.90 Lakh Tonnes

Hyderabad, Sept. 4 -- Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Buddhaprakash Jyoti on Friday directed General Managers of all areas to ensure daily coal production and transportation of 1.90 lakh tonnes to meet the growing demand for electricity and ensure adequate supplies to thermal power stations.

Addressing at special review meeting on coal production with SCCL Directors and General Managers of all areas here, Jyoti said electricity consumption had increased significantlyacross the country and the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Coal and State EnergyDepartment were closely reviewing coal supplies to thermal power stations.
