Hanamkonda, Sept. 28 -- Telangana CPI State Secretary and Kothagudem MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao called upon students to unite and fight for a scientific education system and protect democratic values.
Addressing a public meeting organised at Kakatiya University auditorium on Monday as part of the All India Students Federation (AISF) 90th anniversary celebrations, he said the AISF had a 90-year legacy of fighting for education and students' rights.
Thousands of students participated in a rally from the Public Gardens to the KU auditorium. Kunamneni said the education sector was facing several challenges and alleged that policies of those in power were undermining students.
