Sangareddy, Aug. 12 -- A 33-year-old pregnant woman died while undergoing treatment at the Sangareddy government hospital on Wednesday, triggering a protest by her relatives, who alleged that medical negligence led to her death.
The deceased was identified as Anitha, a resident of Badrigudem village in Choutakur mandal. She is survived by her husband, Srisailam. The family admitted her to the government hospital on August 10 for delivery as she was nine months pregnant.
According to the hospital authorities, Anitha suffered a seizure at around 0500 hours on Wednesday while undergoing treatment and subsequently died.
