Hyderabad, April 28 -- : The Women Safety Wing of Telangana Police launched a week-long 'Bal Panchayat' (Children's Parliament) initiative as part of a state-wide women safety awareness campaign, officials said.
The programme, held under the Praja Palana-Pragati Pranalika (99 Days Campaign), aims to promote child participation, enhance community safety, and strengthen inclusive governance at the village level.
The initiative will be implemented on a pilot basis across six villages in four districts-Warangal, Medchal, Vikarabad, and Medak from April 27 to May 2, according to Charu Sinha, DG, CID.
