Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- The Telangana government plans to transform the historic Mir Alam Tank into a major tourism and recreation hub featuring water sports, a suspension bridge, island development and family entertainment facilities.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conducted a surprise inspection of the tank on Thursday and reviewed the ongoing works. He directed officials to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe and take measures to prevent sewage from entering the tank. He also asked them to widen drainage channels to ensure the smooth flow of floodwater into the Musi River and accord priority to improving water quality.
