Siddipet, May 25 -- Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) senior leader and Deputy Floor Leader T Harish Rao on Monday accused the Congress government of failing farmers over delayed paddy procurement and warned that he would lead a massive protest if the issue is not resolved within two to three days.
During a visit to the grain procurement centre at Ensanpalli village in Siddipet Urban mandal, Harish Rao interacted with farmers and alleged that procurement operations were moving at a "snail's pace," causing severe distress to cultivators.
He criticised the government's handling of procurement, claiming that farmers were facing shortages of lorries, gunny bags and proper storage facilities.
