Hyderabad/ New Delhi, June 19 -- The Telangana government on Thursday sought the Union government's permission to utilize 1500 TMC of water from Godavari and Krisha rivers. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, during a meeting with the Union Minister, Secretary of the Union ministry Debashree Mukherjee and other senior officials at Shramshakti Bhavan in the national capital, requested C R Patil, the JalShakti Ministry and Andhra Pradesh government to issue a 'no objection certificate (NOC)' for Telangana to utilize 1,000 TMC of water from Godavari river and 500 TMC of Krishna river, a total of 1500 TMC, with the approval of the Union government.
