Hyderabad, June 8 -- Extensive arrangements have been made at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds for the annual distribution of the Bathini family's famed "fish prasadam" to asthma patients arriving from across the country.
The distribution will begin at 2100 hours on Monday on the occasion of Mrigasira Karte. The State Fisheries Department has arranged 1.4 lakh fishlings, which are being sold at special counters for Rs 40 each.
Lakhs of patients from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and several other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka, are expected to attend the programme. Many have already reached Hyderabad and are staying at hotels, lodges and shelters arranged at the Exhibition Grounds.
