Nagarjuna Sagar, Aug. 10 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his wife on Monday participated in the concluding rituals of the 'Maha Varuna Yagam' organised by the state government at Vijay Viharam on the banks of the Krishna river, seeking abundant rainfall across the state.

The day-long yagam was performed according to Vedic traditions, with 108 Ruthviks from the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple conducting homa rituals across 11 Homa Kundas amid chanting of mantras and Vedic rituals.

Priests concluded the programme by performing Purnahuti (final oblation) in the presence of the Chief Minister.
