Hyderabad, April 22 -- The National BC Welfare Association, led by Rajya Sabha MP R Krishnaiah, on Wednesday extended support to the ongoing RTC workers' strike and urged the Telangana government to immediately invite unions for talks and resolve their demands.

Speaking after a meeting with RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders at BC Bhavan, Krishnaiah said public life has been severely affected by the strike, with poorer sections facing the brunt, especially during the ongoing wedding season. He called on the government to set aside prestige issues and address the workers' concerns.
