Hyderabad, Aug. 19 -- BJP Telangana State president N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday demanded that the State government immediately increase stipends for AYUSH PG students and house surgeons on par with Allopathy students and clear all pending arrears.

Ramchander Rao visited the relay hunger strike at Dr B R K R Government Ayurveda College and Hospital in Erragadda, where AYUSH students have been protesting for 16 days, and expressed the BJP's full solidarity with their demands.

He said AYUSH doctors in Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy were being discriminated against despite working alongside Allopathy doctors in public healthcare.
