Hyderabad, May 26 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday said Telangana and Karnataka held positive discussions on utilisation of Krishna River waters, with both states agreeing to move forward while safeguarding mutual interests.
Karnataka Minor Irrigation Minister N.S. Boseraju met Uttam Kumar Reddy at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat to discuss irrigation and drinking water requirements of both states along with issues relating to Krishna River water utilisation.
Speaking after the meeting, Uttam said the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere based on mutual understanding and focused on ensuring that future policies and projects would benefit both states.
