Patna, Sept. 9 -- Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) working national president Tejaswi Prasad Yadav demanded that Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary take immediate and time-bound decisions on the eight-point demands of dealers under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
In a letter to the Chief Minister, a copy of which was circulated in the media today, Yadav said PDS dealers were an important link in the state's public distribution network and, despite working under difficult circumstances, were responsible for delivering foodgrains to millions of poor and needy families.
He said it was unfortunate that their long-standing economic and administrative problems had not been resolved.
