Patna, June 20 -- Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav today alleged that the police encounter in which Bharat Tiwari was killed in Bhojpur district was "fake" and demanded an apology from Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
Addressing a press conference at the state headquarters of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Yadav questioned the state government''s handling of the case and said there was no doubt that Bharat Tiwari''s encounter in Shahpur was staged.
He said that while the Chief Minister had announced a judicial inquiry into the incident, cases were simultaneously being registered against Tiwari''s parents and villagers, sending contradictory signals.
