Amethi, Sept. 6 -- The family members of a 17-year-old boy who died in a road accident late yesterday night in Amethi district have accused the village head (gram pradhan) of killing him due to an old rivalry.
The incident occurred at Hari Pur village under the jurisdiction of Piparpur police station. According to reports, Amit Kori, son of Ramsaroj and a resident of the village, was returning with three friends on a motorcycle when the accident took place near a cowshed on the Haripur-Ghatkaur road. The motorcycle reportedly collided with a stray animal, resulting in a crash.
Amit sustained critical internal injuries and died on the spot, while his three friends were injured and taken to the district hospital in Sultanpur for treatment....
