Agartala, July 24 -- The Tripura Police on Friday announced that Superintendent of Police (West Tripura) Namit Pathak will lead the investigation into the tragic death of Director General of Police Anurag Dhankar on July 20.
The inquiry is in relation to the case of unnatural death reported at the West Agartala Police Station, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain suspicious as Anurag was found hanging in the restroom of his office.
In the directive issued, SP Pathak is appointed to head the investigation, with support from Additional SP (Urban) Dhruba Nath and Sub-Inspector Subhojit Deb, who is the current Investigating Officer.
