Agartala, July 8 -- The tea industry in Tripura is set to receive proposed investments of Rs 726 crore from four private companies, demonstrating their interest in expanding operations within the state, said Chairman of the Tripura Tea Development Corporation (TTDC) Samir Ranjan Ghosh here on Wednesday.
The investment proposals are expected to be formalised through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave scheduled for July 9 and 10. It is anticipated that the proposed investments will lead to the creation of approximately 4,000 jobs, marking a significant milestone in Tripura's tea sector.
