TDB's silence on alleged obscene remarks against Sabarimala deities condemnable: Employees Front

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 29 -- The Travancore Devaswom Employees Front has condemned the alleged failure of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to take any action against Sunny M. Kapikkad over his alleged derogatory and obscene remarks concerning Lord Ayyappa and Malikappurathamma of Sabarimala.

The organisation said the TDB, which has the legal and administrative responsibility for the management and protection of Devaswom institutions, including Sabarimala, had so far neither lodged a police complaint nor registered an official protest over the alleged remarks.

The continued silence of the present Board could be perceived as disregard for the sentiments of millions of devotees, the Front said.
