New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- Tata Trusts will initiate the process of selecting the next chairman of Tata Sons after N Chandrasekaran decided against seeking another term at the helm of the group's holding company.
The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) said on Thursday that its trustees had approved a resolution to begin the succession process at the earliest. The exercise will involve setting up a Selection Committee to recommend a candidate for the top post, in accordance with the Articles of Association of Tata Sons.
The development comes a day after Chandrasekaran informed the Tata Sons board that he would not put his name forward for reappointment once his current tenure concludes on February 20, 2027.
