Chennai, July 28 -- Even as the turf war between the elected government and the Lok Bhavan continues over the appointment of Vice-Chancellors for state-run universities, a fresh tussle has erupted on Tuesday pitting the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) regimeof Joseph Vijay and Governor VR Arlekar over pushing the 'Thmil Thaai Vaazhthu', the state song, to the third place after Vande Mataram and the National Anthem.

With the Tamil anthem relegated to third place, Tamil Nadu Education Minister P Viswanathan of the Congress and local TVK legislators boycotted the 33rd convocation of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tirunelveli.
