Shimla, Nov. 13 -- The cold wave tightened its grip over Himachal Pradesh on Thursday as night temperatures dipped sharply across the state, pushing several high-altitude regions into sub-zero conditions.
The coldest temperature was recorded at Tabo Monastery in Lahaul Spiti, where the mercury slipped to minus 7.4degC, according to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla.
Other tribal belts also froze, with Keylong and Kukumseri at minus 3.3degC and minus 3.1degC respectively, while Kalpa in Kinnaur stood at minus 0.4degC. Tourist resorts experienced a sharp chill as well: Manali recorded 2.5degC, Narkanda 2.6degC, Solan 2.6degC, and Reckong Peo 2.2degC. Kufri remained colder at 4.7degC.
