Kolkata, March 4 -- New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and elected to field first against South Africa in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup at the iconic Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.

Speaking after the toss, Santner said, "Semi-finals, there is always a bit of pressure but we'll just go out there and do our thing."The Kiwis made one change, with James Neesham making his comeback to the team in place of Ish Sodhi.

South Africa captain Aiden Markram said, "It'll be important to start well." Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada are back for South Africa with Kwena Maphaka, Anrich Nortje and George Linde sitting out after doingduty in the match against Zimbabwe.
