Hyderabad, July 8 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday paid rich tributes to former united Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on his birth anniversary.
He described him as a champion of the poor whose welfare initiatives continue to serve as a model for the country.
Bhatti Vikramarka garlanded YSR's statues at City Centre and Panjagutta and later cut a cake to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said YSR always placed farmers and the poor at the centre of governance.
