Hyderabad, June 16 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed the Agriculture Department to ensure the availability of seeds for seven varieties of fine-grain paddy eligible for the state government's bonus scheme and provide them to farmers at subsidised rates through Rythu Vedikas.

Speaking at a review meeting held at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion, the Chief Minister instructed officials to collect comprehensive data on farmers cultivating fine-grain paddy and maintain accurate records of crop yields. He also stressed the need to effectively utilise the pilot project being implemented in Dammapeta mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
