Hyderabad, June 15 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday accused union Minister G. Kishan Reddy of obstructing the transfer of a Rs 13,600-crore Metro loan, thereby delaying the proposed 122-km Hyderabad Metro Phase-2 project.

Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat, Revanth Reddy said the Metro project was brought to Hyderabad during the Congress regime and alleged that the BRS government delayed Phase-1 by three years, causing the project cost to rise from Rs 15,000 crore to Rs 22,000 crore. He said no efforts were made to expand the Metro over the past decade.
