Hyderabad, May 27 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Wednesday accused the Congress government of neglecting farmers and blamed its "anti-farmer policies" for the hardships being faced by cultivators across the state following unseasonal rains.
Speaking at the BJP state office in Hyderabad during the induction of former IRS officer A Sudhakar Reddy and several leaders from the Huzurnagar region into the party, Ramchander Rao alleged that harvested grain stored at procurement centres and IKP centres had been damaged due to the rains. He criticised the government for failing to provide adequate tarpaulins, warehouse facilities, and proper procurement arrangements.
