Kolkata, Aug. 13 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said the state government would include Syama Prasad Mookerjee's life and contributions in school and university syllabi from the next academic year as part of a year-long initiative to highlight his nationalist ideology, patriotism and role in the formation of West Bengal and the development of independent India.
As part of the year-long celebration of the 125th birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the state government has also approved a series of projects including a 125-foot standing statue and museum at New Town's Eco Park, renovation of his ancestral property at Jirat in Hooghly, and publication of commemorative books.
