Kolkata, June 24 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said on Wednesday that a suspected structural defect in a building plan sanctioned by the previous government may have led to the collapse of an under-construction warehouse at Taratala in Kolkata, which killed three people and injured several others.
Announcing that all construction plans approved during the previous regime have been put on hold until July 31 for reassessment, Adhikari said preliminary findings indicated flaws in the sanctioned design of the five-storey steel-framed structure.
